Follow the
steps to do so:

Press Windows
+ R key together to open
the run box.
2.
Type “gpedit.msc” in the box and hit Enter.
3.
Now, navigate to User
Configuration,
Administrative Templates, and Start Menu and Taskbar in left pan of Group Policy Editor.

Locate “Turn
off Taskbar Thumbnails” in
right pane of Group policy editor and double click on it.
5.
Select Disable and click on Apply and then on OK.
Method 2
1.
Open up the folder with the pictures and click on the View tab
2.
Next click on Options to the far right
3.
Then Click on Change folder and search options
4.
This opens up an options menu
5.
Navigate to the view tab
6.
uncheck the box that says Always show icons, never thumbnails
7.
And Check the box that says Display file icon on thumbnails.
